About

Iā€™m a reporter for Stateline, a news service affiliated with the Pew Charitable Trusts. Based in Denver (formerly Washington, D.C.), I explore how policy affects people. I travel to communities across the U.S. to write about trends in workforce development and economic policy.

My work for Stateline has appeared in the Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, HuffPost, USA Today, and PBS NewsHour, among other outlets.

Previously, I was a staff writer for National Journal, where I helped launch a series about innovation in the economy and a series about diversity in America. Past beats have included politics and the White House. I graduated cum laude from Yale University in 2010 with a degree in English.
